Gemma (Dennis) McKay
Principal & Technical Administrator

Gemma has worked in the Financial Services industry since 1998 in a number of different support roles including PA, Paraplanning, Office Management and Administration. She has experience in managing a wide variety of everyday tasks including processing letters of authority, liaising with product providers, data gathering, event organising, commission reconciliation, research, updating back office systems and much more.

 

Gemma is an extremely organised person, accustomed to working under pressure, and is very good at multitasking. She loves to push herself and is always open to taking on new challenges and expanding her knowledge further. She relishes the challenge of understanding the different processes financial advice firms follow, and ensuring the administration aspect runs smoothly and efficiently.

 

In her spare time she looks after and competes her horses in showjumping competitions at a ‘professional amateur’ level all over the UK. Gemma also enjoys spending time with her two spaniels and her husband Jason, going on walks, eating out and travelling, especially exploring different parts of Italy.

 

Gemma holds her Financial Planning Certificate 1 and  2 (FPC1 and FPC2).

Gemma Dennis Sedulous Admin

Ralph Sanders
Technical Administrator

Ralph has worked in financial services throughout his whole career, starting out in 1986 with NPI in systems development, before transitioning to financial administration. Having subsequently moved to Norwich Union (now Aviva), Ralph moved into a managerial position, heading up the technical and quotations departments.

Within a short time, Ralph was head-hunted by a national financial planning firm and eventually formed his own independent financial planning business with two partners in 1998.

Ralph undertook the day to day running of the company, acting as internal compliance officer, managing its financial position, looking after the team and its clients, and providing administrative support to the advisers. 

The business grew organically over 21 years and was sold in 2019. Since then, Ralph has decided to continue within an administrative role, going back to his original roots and providing the breadth and depth of his experience to his work. 

Ralph is organised, easy to work with, and motivated to providing an excellent service. He holds the PFS Diploma in Financial Planning.

Among his many and varied interests, Ralph enjoys rifle shooting, motorbikes, music, World War history, antique weaponry, tinkering with gadgets, travel, yoga and keeping fit. He’s also a huge James Bond fan.

Jane Ordon
Technical Administrator

Jane has worked in financial services since 2001, mainly providing admin support to pure protection advisers and she joined us here at Sedulous in September 2021.  She is extremely organized, used to working to deadlines and making sure the start to end process happens as quickly and efficiently as possible.  She prides herself on excellent work ethics, attention to detail and enjoys learning new skills – all attributes which make her a huge asset to the team.

 

Jane is mum to three boys and in her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends, at her home and at the family holiday home in Kenmore in central Scotland.  She is a keen football fan, loves going to concerts and enjoys reading and walks with her dog!  Jane is also a keen quizzer and enjoys testing the team’s general knowledge with a weekly quiz.

Sophie Crans
Technical Administrator

Sophie has worked in Financial Services for nearly 20 years, starting her career in retail banking at HSBC after she graduated University with a Business Management degree. In 2014 she moved into the IFA world, working as a Paraplanner and a Financial Services Administrator. Working at both a large UK wide chartered IFA and a small independent family run firm, she has gained valuable skills from both, and prides herself on her friendly can-do attitude. Sophie has also part completed her Diploma in FInancial Advice.

 

She is a Mum to two young daughters who keep her extremely busy! In her spare time, she loves to go on country walks and explore new places with her husband and daughters. Together they also enjoy going on road trips to their favourite countries, Italy and Austria.

Chloe Young
Technical Administrator

Chloe joined Sedulous in April 2025 and has worked in Financial Services since 2017, providing admin support to a range of small IFA's. During her time in the industry, she has gained in depth product knowledge as well as valuable skills including attention to detail and problem solving. Alongside working, she graduated University with a Business Management & Accounting degree. She has also taken some exams in the Financial Services sector and is keen to complete more.

 

In her spare time Chloe enjoys going walking at National Trust locations with her friends and family, eating out, traveling, knitting and is obsessed with anything to do with Harry Potter!

The Sanity Squad are a very important part of the team.

They are extremely experienced in keeping you sane and making you smile! Your state of mind has a massive impact on your work and everyday life, it's so important to maintain your mind health and this is where The Sanity Squad comes in. They help us to focus on our work fully, enabling us to be more proactive, increasing attention to detail and productivity which enables us to perform at our best. Oh and they are great fun, quirky and sometimes very cheeky!
